TALLAHASSEE - Okaro White had season-highs of 19 points and 11 rebounds and freshman Aaron Thomas added a career-high 17 points in his first college start as Florida State defeated Louisiana-Monroe 63-48 Monday night.

The Seminoles (6-4) played without star guard Michael Snaer, who warmed up before the game but didn't play. Florida State was also without guard Ian Miller (foot).

Trent Mackey had 22 points ? making six 3-pointers ? and Jayon James added six points and 12 rebounds for Louisiana-Monroe (1-6), which had 23 turnovers.

White scored 11 of Florida State's first 17 points, but the Seminoles struggled early, turning the ball over 13 times in the first half. He made 12 of 13 free-throw attempts and finished one point shy of the career high he set against Charleston Southern in December 2011.

Devon Bookert added 10 points for the Seminoles, who shot 40.4 percent (19 of 47) from the floor. They also made 20 of 24 free throw attempts (83.3 percent).

Louisiana-Monroe led 18-11 with 8:54 until halftime, but Florida State went on a 15-2 run to pull ahead for good.

The Warhawks shot 38.0 percent (19 of 50) from the floor, but except for Mackey they struggled with the 3-pointer. Louisiana-Monroe's other players shot just 1 of 9 from beyond the arc.

Florida State outrebounded Louisiana Monroe 37-25.

The Seminoles' 19 turnovers marked the third straight game they have committed at least that many. Florida State defeated Maine 91-59 with 19 turnovers and had 22 in a 72-47 loss to Florida.
