Johnny Depp hasn't had a drink in a year and a half and looking back over the days that he used to drink alcohol, the actor has said that he "got everything he could out of it", before adding that he's always been "socially inept" at parties.
Johnny tells The Times that although he was never an alcoholic, he doesn't feel like he enjoyed his time drinking wine and spirits, but isn't interested in "investigating" alcohol any more.
He tells the publication: "I just decided that I pretty much got everything I could out of it. I investigated wines and spirits thoroughly, and they investigated me as well, and we found that we got along beautifully, but maybe too well."
He then added, of mingling with guests and being sociable at parties: "I'm kind of socially inept? Mingling at parties and stuff like that has always not been a nice experience for me."
The Hollywood A-lister also said that he "hardly ever" wears underwear, saying when quizzed on his lack of under garments: "That's the general approach."

The Charlie And The Chocolate Factory star also admits that after a string of "semi-failure movies" in the 1990s, he says: "I was well on my way to Thermos and lunchbox antiquity" but 'Pirates of the Caribbean' and 'Alice in Wonderland' made him box office gold again.
Acting has always been a form of escape, Depp continues: "Covering myself up in makeup, it's easier to look at someone else else? Jesus, you wake up in the morning and you brush your teeth, and you're like, "Ugh that f***er again? You're still here?'"
Johnny's upcoming movie The Lone Ranger is out on August 9th.
