Community Opinion: Blade and Soul B2P or P2P? - MMOsite

We all know of the mystery subscription plan regarding NCSoft's upcoming action mmog Blade and Soul.

Following the launch of the western site for the game, in NCSoft's Q&A section, this was stated:

How much will Blade & Soul cost? Will there be a subscription fee, or will Blade & Soul utilize the microtransaction business model?

As the launch date draws nearer, we will have more information to share on price and business models. However NCsoft is actively evaluating what gaming fans in Europe and the United States want, and we are committed to creating a business model that will meet our fans' expectations.

Meaning that NCSoft is willing to listen to EU and NA followers of the game. With the recent success of GuildWars 2 and it's B2P model, should Blade and Soul (As well as future NCSoft MMOs) follow GW2's transaction model?

Pay to Play: is currently a dying breed in the mmo world (Ex. SWTOR, TERA, FFXIV, TSW) No one wants to spend money on games that don't deliver in content and far too easy to hit level cap, most of these have cash-shops that give advantages in-game despite the monthly fee on top, and if you are unable to pay the free, your access to the game is restricted until you pay to play it again, a lot of mmos released this year on this model due to severe lack of content and have turned, or are turning F2P. The exceptions being FFXI (10 years)?and WOW (9 years) still going strong in this model.

Buy to Play: Are a rare breed of mmo and only the Guild Wars franchise has seen huge success with this model, allowing players to play forever after buying the game with the option of buying aesthetically pleasing costumes that give no advantages in the game,, this plan can compete with P2P titles due to the aesthetical cash-shops and yearly expansions as a source of profitability players are able to have an equal advantage on content.

Free to Play: The model that currently saturates the market, a majority of games using this model are Pay 2 Win, buying items from cash-shops that give players advantages over other players who choose not to buy these items and would rather have equal advantage.

Hybrid Model: This model is fairly new, it uses the notion of limited content to players who don't subscribe to experience all of the game and limits a player's level if you choose the free to play option. Players who continue to subscribe to these models get to experience all content available in the game, while players who play free get left behind at a capped level are unable to advance.
